Irish immigrants to America were frequently greeted bigoted signs like this, barring them from employment, lodging, and other considerations in society.

During the 19th century, A lot of Irish Immigrants moved from Ireland to America looking for better working environments and for better life for their families. But they discovered that it's not different from Ireland.

"They soon discovered that the conditions in America were not so different from the conditions in Ireland. They were subject to overwhelming ridicule and discrimination."

Irish Immigrants have faced discrimination and seeing signs of "Help wanted but follows by NO IRISH APPLY" Therefore they have to find other jobs that are far more dangerous and though conditions that were open for them in the 19th century.

"With almost no labor or mining laws, the coal mines were extremely dangerous and in decrepit condition."

In 1864, an association was formed to help make the working environment a little safer for mining. Requiring workers from creating violence, but this association had a self serving to their organization but not to help Irish workers.

"Due to this self-serving attitude and also due to prejudice that existed within the organization, the Irish decided to form their own group to protect their workers. This group was known as the Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH)."

The AOH only allowed Irishmen and their sons to work as leaders to provide fairness and to punish people who mistreated workers.

My Arggument is to show how Irish Immigrants had to face when coming to the Americas looking for better jobs but they end up in dangerous and difficult conditions that might cause death. They also had to work in railroads which were also a very difficult job.

"Immigrant Laborers in the Early 20th Century,This is an audio recording describes how West Virginia coal operators fired union laborers and gave the jobs to Irish, Italian and African-American workers because, “[the] coal company owned them.”

They also have faced discrimination from different religion groups which were called protestant, and these have lead to verbal attacks and mob violence.
